21 DAYS OF PRAYER & FASTING
JANUARY 5 – 25
We are intentionally seeking God in prayer and believing for Him to move in powerful ways.
Why We Pray
The practice of prayer brings joy, peace, and contentment to our lives. Prayer gives us confident assurance that God is in control and working all things out for our good. It’s not about the right words, or perfect time, but an awareness of the constant invitation we have to directly speak to the Father.
- Prayer Sharpens our Faith
- Prayer Creates Deeper Intimacy with God
- Prayer is Powerful and Brings About Change
Why We Fast
When we take the initiative to fast, we practice biblical values that Jesus first modeled for us throughout the bible. The act of fasting is sacrificing one of our most essential daily routines. Trusting that God will meet us in our hunger, and feed us by his word. Fasting is an act of intimacy with the Father. Not to get something from Him, but to get to know Him.

Yet even now, says the LORD, return to me with all your hearts, with fasting, with weeping, and with sorrow. Return to the LORD your God, for he is merciful and compassionate, very patient, full of faithful love, and ready to forgive. – Joel 2:12,13
